About

Hey, I'm Vojta.

I am a drummer from Europe with real shop-floor experience, and this site is my no-BS take on drum gear that actually works.

Vojta playing drums on stage

Founder

Vojta Skuplík

I keep my real name on purpose. It keeps me accountable, and it keeps this project honest.

I work in a real drum shop, and over the years I have had countless kits, cymbals, snares, and random drummer gear pass through my hands.

Why This Site Exists

This is where I share the best and worst gear I have seen so far. No sugar coating. If something is great, I will say it. If it is overhyped, overpriced, or plain weak, I will say that too.

What You Will Find Here

The core of this site is comparison content: full kits, brands, and specific product lines. Some posts will be broad and easy to scan. Others will go deep when a line deserves a proper teardown.

  • Head-to-head kit comparisons for real buying decisions.
  • Brand and series breakdowns with practical context.
  • Honest pros/cons based on hands-on and shop-floor reality.
  • Clear recommendations by budget, use-case, and skill level.

How I Write

I write in a personal, direct voice. No corporate talk. No generic fluff. I would rather be clear and useful than sound "professional" in the boring way.

You will see real emotion here, because gear decisions are personal. I care about this stuff, and I am not pretending otherwise.

Editorial Promise

Every review or comparison is built to help you avoid bad buys, spend smarter, and find gear that fits your real playing context. That is the whole point.

Name and Identity

I am keeping Vojta Skuplík as my public byline. For US readers, you can also call me Vojta for short. The goal is authentic voice, not a made-up stage persona.
